Ok so about a little while ago I was tricked into joining Bally Total Fitness. I signed up for a free two week trial and the guy asked me for my drivers license (His name is Erik from the Capitol Expressway, San Jose CA Bally but now he works at the one in Hamilton, San Jose CA Bally) but i forgot it because I had to leave for school. I came back the next day after I found out that i left my drivers license, he literally kept on pushing me into joining, he lowered the offer to $19 a month AND he said I can cancel anytime because he put me under my girlfriend and her family\'s account. So i said alright, just for a while and he made me sign a paper and I ASKED AGAIN \"So i can cancel anytime?\" And he said \"yes I can\" because he put me under my girlfriend and her family\'s contract (or so he says).

I barely go to Bally\'s and went a few times only because I\'ve been really busy with school, I am now a college student and have been really packed with school in the morning and evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays and when I\'m not at school, I\'m always at work. So there\'s no time to actually go to work out. I tried cancelling and Bally said that I can\'t because I had a 3 year contract under my name and I was surprised because ERICK said i can cancel anytime.

Just a few days ago, i went to Ballys and asked for Erik and he transferred to the one in Hamilton and so I called him. I told him I can\'t make it because I\'ve been busy and I told him my story about how i need to cancel and he said himself I can cancel anytime because i was under my girlfriend\'s family\'s contract. He said \"I sign 1000\'s of people a month, I don\'t remember what i said to you. You signed a contract and now you\'re in Bally. You need to come in and work out\" I told him that I can\'t go because of my busy schedule and he still insists that I HAVE TO GO WORK OUT unless i cancel but then I would have to pay the remaining amount.

So finally, can someone please tell me what should i do? I\'m desperately asking for someone\'s help on this. I went to my doctor too because i had an injured back, but the most my doctor could write on a doctors note is \"I need assistance when I weighlift\" and there\'s ALWAYS a Bally close to where I live. So can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

ballys is nasty with contracts same thing happened with my brother...his contract was canceled when he filed for bankruptcy
