| Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 2 Rep Power: 0 ![]() | start with negative reps, stand on a chair to get your chin above the bar, step off the chair, hold your position for a few seconds, and slowly lower to the ground. do that as many times as you can. then take the chair, and push it out in front of you, put your feet on it and do pullups like that, the further the chair is from you, the harder it is. as you progress move the chair further and further back until you can do it without the chair. | Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 1 Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I had the same problem, except I\'m a wrestler. I bought one of those $15 dollar in-door frame pull up bars, and set it up on the door in my room. Every time I walked through I set a goal and challenge myself to do at least 2 pull ups, then 5, then 10... etc. That was more or less likely 3 years ago... I can usually average around 50-70 pull ups in one go now (of course that\'s also with the added strength from hours I dedicate to the gym and to wrestling practice).
